We've lived in our apartment for almost 8 months now, and our upstairs neighbor has been the plague of my existence the entire time we've lived here. Right now, I can hear her music as it shakes the walls of my apartment. I'm watching TV (and it's not super-quiet), and I can still hear her music. Last I checked this, this is an APARTMENT building, meaning we SHARE walls and ceilings and floors...apparently this woman doesn't realize that. She also doesn't respond to knocks on her door when her music is up too loud...so there's no way for us to communicate to her that she's being a pain in the @$$.
And it's not just during the day...oh no, this woman rocks out all hours of the day AND night...We've even written a formal letter of complaint to our landlords about her...the good news is, she's on a month-to-month rental plan and looking for a house. Here's to hoping she moves out sooner, rather than later. That way I can sleep through the night and watch tv in peace...
Anyone else dealt with rude or loud neighbors? Any tips on how to deal with her, when she won't respond to the complex's courtesy officer or formal notices from management?
And, in full acknowledgment that this is a first-world problem, I want to provide you with a way to donate to the relief efforts in Haiti. I'm on a design team for a young adult event, and we're collecting relief kits to send to Haiti through UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief). Just click here to donate to their efforts.
