Townsend is a small town near Knoxville and on the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Hubs and I like to hike in the Smokies, and we often travel there by way of Townsend (instead of Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg, which are almost always overflowing with tourists). This bridge is somewhere along the main drag between Maryville and the National Park.
